CranioSacral Therapy Awareness

April is CranioSacral Therapy Awareness Month

A Defining Moment: Establishing CranioSacral Therapy Awareness Month

The early 2000s marked a meaningful moment in the history of CranioSacral Therapy, when John Matthew Upledger led a legislative outreach effort to bring greater awareness to the work. In 2002, he and a group of practitioners traveled to the Florida State Capitol, offering CranioSacral Therapy sessions to legislators and staff, creating a direct and meaningful understanding of its impact.

These efforts culminated in 2003, when the Florida Senate officially recognized April as CranioSacral Therapy Awareness Month, an important milestone in advancing the profession.
